At 9psi I would hand you your ass. At 15psi it would be about even. From what I have learned so far, not including the cost of the car itself, getting to 400hp is a little cheaper in a z, 400-500 is about even and 500+ it's actually CHEAPER in a C5. All of which is meaningless any way since the 2 cars are so totally diefferent in so many ways. As far as 1/2 the cost, yes, a brand new car will tend to cost more than an 8 year old car. My C5 is more powerful, handles much better and stops much better than a stock TTZ and cost LESS than a TTZ did new, so it all depends on how you look at it. They are two of the absolute best sportscars of alltime and I am glad I have the luxury of being able to own both. BTW I think the Z06 is pretty overrated, I mean ignoring the fact that it's ugly, it's only got 40 more hp and weighs 100lbs less than a plain C5 so don't be TOO proud of yourself. Let me spend my $10k in mods and then you can run me and we'll see who wins.
